Kathy is an experienced board director and an accomplished Fortune 500 technology executive with 30+ years of experience leading global, highly-regulated and industry-leading organizations. Ms. Starkoff is an independent director of Gentex Corporation's Board (Nasdaq: GNTX) and serves on the audit and risk committee. She is a member of Women Corporate Directors and was recognized by Women's Inc., as one of the "Most Influential Corporate Directors of 2019".
Kathy is an advisory board member for Arizona State University's Idea Enterprise which advances the faculty's most promising entrepreneurial opportunities, as well as Franklin University's Center for Public Safety and CyberSecurity Education, which prepares professionals to manage cyber challenges. The National Association of Corporate Directors recognized Kathy as a "Leadership Fellow" and a cyber security expert panelist. She was also a featured panelist for Deloitte's "Board Ready" program.
Ms. Starkoff was Chief Information Officer at The Ohio State University. She was part of a business-minded leadership team and served on both the President's Council and the Univerity's Management Council. There, she established a highly successful enterprise Information Technology (IT) function, integrating the diverse requirements of Academia, Medicine, Research, and Athletics into an enterprise strategy and foundational construct for IT and cybersecurity, improving customer service by 25%.
As Chief Technology Officer and Group Vice President of Limited Brands (now LBrands), Kathy led transformative global change to enable 100% revenue growth, with the creation of an enterprise supply chain, data warehouse, shared services, and an enterprise risk management (ERM) function.
Prior to Limited Brands, Kathy was Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Bank One Corporation (now JP Morgan Chase), where she improved the speed and effectiveness of mergers and acquisitions. She continues to enjoy all-things-tech, recently serving as a CIO Magazine judge, in the prestigious national CIO Awards.
Ms. Starkoff is a passionate board member and immediate past chair of Flying Horse Farms, which provides transformative camp experiences for seriously-ill children. She is also a board member and the audit & risk committee chair for SeriousFun Children's Network, which is a global family of camps and programs that helps children and families reach beyond illness to find joy, confidence, and new possibilities.
Kathy serves as Vice President of the Ohio chapter of the International Women's Forum, a non-profit organization of 7000+ accomplished women from 33 nations that hopes to inspire a transformed world.
